Join Harville and Helen at The Psychotherapy 2019 Networker Symposium, where they will present their workshop, IMAGO: FROM THE CLINIC TO THE CULTURE
Therapy, for over a hundred years, has engaged in the healing of individuals, couples and families with minimal attention to their socio-cultural context. This workshop posits that a relational dysfunctional cultural value system is the source of much psychological suffering of people in the culture. The ultimate mitigation of suffering of individuals, couples and families requires transforming their relationships AND the culture which shapes and wounds them. This workshop will celebrate, describe and demonstrate transformative new insights and therapeutic methodologies from the relationship sciences that heals both the person and the cultural context and will demonstrate ways that clinicians can extend their healing arc from the clinic to the culture.
- Discover the connection between personal and cultural dysfunction.
- Participate in a therapeutic methodology with the potential to transform the personal and the social context.
- Practice a therapeutic process they can implement quickly in their therapy practice.
